Tracy Edwards-Brown, Community Development Co-ordinator for North Bristol, and Lisa Dicker, resident volunteer in Sea Mills, spent Friday 14th June presenting Games on the Train to a room of 200 people at the GWR Community Rail Partnership conference.
Games on the Train, a project developed with the support of Lisa and Severnside Community Rail partnership, promotes activities for older people from Sea Mills and Avonmouth. Local people are invited to play bingo, knit or play board games for an hour whilst riding the Severn Beach train, enjoying tea, coffee and biscuits, building friendships and having fun!
The conference was a great opportunity to showcase the project.
