Join St Monica Trust for their annual Stockwood Taster Day, on Wednesday 20th September, from 11 – 3pm at South Bristol Sports Centre, West Town Lane, BS14 9EA.
The day will see free activity taster sessions, information and entertainment for local over 55's. You can also come and find out about the work that St Monica Trust do in the Stockwood community.
Organisations including Bristol Energy, Community Access Support Service, Macmillan Cancer Support, St Monica Trust Community Fund, The Centre for Sustainable Energy and the Dementia Wellbeing Service, will be attending and providing wellbeing advice and community information. This will include what support there is for those affected by cancer and dementia, information about wellbeing services in Bristol, home energy efficiency and suppliers, as well as grants that are available for over 55's in need.
There will be the opportunity to come and try your hand (or feet), at lots of activities including skittles, singing, a dance class, walking netball, bowls, cookery and a quiz. The Stockwood Happy Notes Choir will also be giving a special sing-a-long performance. Refreshments and cake will be available to keep those energy levels up!
The event is free and open to everyone so please spread the word to those that may be interested.
