Following two successful events last year, LinkAge’s Macmillan Prevention and Re-enablement project will be hosting its first of three Macmillan Wellbeing Days on Wednesday 21st March 2018, in North Bristol.
The free Macmillan Wellbeing Day, will offer those (aged 55+) living with and beyond cancer, and their carers/supporters, the opportunity to try a variety of fun, creative and physical activities including Singing, Gentle Exercise, Ballroom Dancing, Walking Sports and your chance to get creative with Wellbeing Arts.
Attendees will also be treated to a free healthy lunch and refreshments; talks on the benefits of engaging in physical activity; a market place of stall holders; a goodie bag and most importantly, a good day out!
Last years central events were a great success with people attending from all areas of Bristol. This year, we want to make that transition to activity easier for people living with cancer, and support them in finding something a bit closer to home. The three Wellbeing events will showcase what fantastic services are available in North, South and East/Central Bristol”. Sally Crocker, Project Manager.
The Wellbeing day will run from 10:00 – 13:30 at BAWA Health and Leisure, 589 Southmead Road, Bristol BS34 7RG. Attendance to the wellbeing day is free, but booking is required.
A wonderful 100% day of love, care, help and kindness – staff have been outstanding and visitors lovely to talk to. I enjoyed exercises to music and could do a little tai chi. I’m going home walking on air!” Barbara, attendee at the 2017 Wellbeing Day.
