LinkAge are delighted to have been chosen as the local charity of the year for the Sainsbury’s store in Kingswood.
As a result of this partnership, LinkAge will benefit from fundraising throughout the year by Sainsbury’s colleagues and customers and there will also be the opportunity for LinkAge to hold in-store fundraising events on specially allocated dates. We will also have use of a large noticeboard by the checkouts to help raise awareness of our work and will be able to receive volunteering support from Sainsbury’s colleagues.
Sainsbury's want to make as big an impact as possible in their local communities, so every year they work together with their customers and colleagues to support a local cause. These are holistic partnerships that last for the whole year and include a range of support such as awareness-raising, fundraising in store, volunteering and donations.
Lucy Saunders, LinkAge’s Business Relationships and Funding Manager said, "We are thrilled to be selected by Sainsbury’s Kingswood store as their local charity for 2017. This is a really great opportunity for LinkAge. We really value our partnership with the store and their support will help LinkAge to enrich lives, reduce isolation and loneliness and promote active participation in local communities".
