This spring, LinkAge Network is starting a new cookery project, Talking Tables, for people aged 50+.
The six to eight week free courses will provide people aged 50+ with skills and knowledge to cook nutritious and tasty food, as well as the opportunity to meet and socialise with other local people.
Sessions will take place across the year at:
- St Werburghs City Farm: 26 April – 14 June, 5 July – 23 August, 13 September – 1 November at 3pm – 6pm (Thursdays)
- Windmill Hill City Farm: 10 July – 14 August and 25 Sept – 30 Oct (Tuesday mornings)
- Lawrence Weston Community Farm: 12 June – 31 July at 10am – 1pm (Tuesdays)
The September/October course at Windmill Hill City Farm will be for people who identify as LGBT+.
The City Farm venues mean that participants can take a tour of the farms, harvest produce and even grow some quick growing crops if they wish. All farms have modern kitchen spaces where participants can cook and then eat their meals together.
To register your interest and to find out more about the Talking Tables project, please call LinkAge Network on 0117 353 3042.
Sessions are suitable for people with access requirements.
