This summer LinkAge Network is launching a new project, Post-Retirement Opportunities.
The Post-Retirement Opportunities (PRO) project aims to inform people aged 55+ who are approaching retirement about the opportunities and advice available, helping them to plan for a happy, healthy and fulfilling retirement.
Sarah Parkes, PRO Events Coordinator, will be running a series of fun and informative events in 2018-19, showcasing the wide range of volunteering programmes, career and financial advice, training opportunities, and active, cultural and social activities on offer in the Bristol area.
The events will feature guest speakers, workshops and taster sessions, and representatives from a range of organisations will be on hand to provide information and advice.
Funded by the Bristol and District Retirement Council, PRO is being delivered in collaboration with the Anchor Society and Business in the Community, who are also offering a training and work placement scheme for over 55s requiring support with return to work or wishing to improve their employability skills.
The project launch event will be held in central Bristol in July 2018 – details will be announced very soon!
Please get in touch if you:
