Aged 55+ and approaching retirement? Retirement is a major transitional phase in life, and can lead to worries about money, social isolation and a loss of purpose. Come along to one of our Post-Retirement Opportunities events this autumn/winter, and discover more about the opportunities and advice available to you, explore and share ideas, hear from those with lived experience of retirement, and meet and socialise with people at a similar stage in life – all over some delicious free drinks and nibbles!
The North Bristol event is taking place on Thursday 25 October, from 6pm – 8pm, at the BAWA Health & Leisure Club in Filton. Local retiree and accomplished Career Transitions Coach Jim Currie will be sharing insights from his own retirement journey, as well as running one of his popular retirement planning workshops.
The South Bristol event will be held on Wednesday 28 November, from 6pm – 8pm, at Ashton Gate Stadium in BS3. Retired Headteacher and blogger Julia Skinner will be sharing her own experience of retirement, from re-finding her purpose to discovering social media – and addressing that ever tricky work-life balance!
Representatives from a range of organisations will be on hand at both events to offer information, advice, and opportunities, within the areas of money, work, volunteering, learning, leisure, and health & wellbeing.
