Raj Lalla, Development Worker for Easton & Lawrence Hill, helped the minibus navigate between pick up points, which included sheltered housing, LinkAge’s Beehive Centre and the Asian Day Centre.
The tea party was held at EE’s offices in Aztec West, where volunteers from EE’s workforce were on hand to give one-to-one advice over a cup of tea and slice of cake. One gentleman had brought along his new tablet computer. He was keen to learn about online grocery shopping, as he finds it difficult to get out to the high street. Another attendee was keen to find out how to add contacts to her mobile phone.
It was very clear that there is no such thing as a silly question, and EE staff were able to provide answers very patiently. The whole group was buzzing, and there was an eagerness to get home and try out what they had learnt. Many of the group were keen to come to the next Techy Tea Party, which will be held on 31 July.
