The Macmillan Prevention and Re-enablement project is calling for more members for its Advisory Group!
The Macmillan Prevention and Re-enablement project supports people (aged 55+), who are living with or beyond cancer, into physical, creative and social activities across Bristol.
We are looking for people aged 55+ who can commit to one hour every three months, to help make a difference, and shape how we support people into activity.
But why does the Macmillan P&R project need an Advisory group?
Our Advisory Group is a really important part of our work.
From members of our Advisory Group’s personal experience of a cancer diagnosis, to their journey through treatment and into activity, their input and ideas ensure that we are providing the most beneficial support to individuals that we work with.
How often does the Advisory group meet?
The Advisory Group meet once every three months at The WaterShed Café, 1 Canon’s Road, BS1 5TX. We meet mid-week at about 2.30pm for tea and coffee, and we normally arrange our meetings around a delicious slice of cake!
Meetings are based around a range of topics and questions, with conversations at the last meeting including our upcoming Macmillan Wellbeing Days, how we should design our new web page, feedback on current activities and ideas for future campaigns.
How do I get involved?
