Following two successful events in North and South Bristol earlier this year, the Macmillan Prevention and Re-enablement project is back with its last Wellbeing Day of 2018.
The free Macmillan Wellbeing Day will offer people aged 55+ living with and beyond cancer, and their carers/supporters, the opportunity to try a variety of fun activities including, Stretch and Balance, Line Dancing, African Drumming and a fantastically relaxing Sound Bath Workshop.
Attendees will also be treated to a free healthy lunch; talks on the benefits of engaging in physical activity; a chance to find out what’s on offer in Bristol through a variety of different stall holders; a goodie bag; a chance to have a relaxing massage treatment and discounted tickets to the Aquarium to enjoy on the day.
One participant who attended a previous Macmillan Wellbeing Day said,
Great team, wonderful selection of stalls and activities. I learned so much about what is available in my area, thanks so much for a wonderful day”
The Wellbeing day will take place on Tuesday 23rd October 2018 from 11am – 3pm, at Bristol Aquarium, Anchor Road, BS1 5TT. Registration will open at 10:30am.
Attendance to the Wellbeing Day is free but booking is essential, so please call the Macmillan Team at LinkAge Network on 0117 353 3042 to find out more and to book your place. Transport is available but is limited, so please call to discuss.
