‘Filwood Gets Fit’

Earlier this month The Park Centre held this year's 'Filwood Gets Fit'. LinkAge supported the week long event with Intergenerational Ping, Archery and Kurling. Approximately forty 16 – 17 year olds from the National Citizen Service (NCS) attended, along with twenty over 55's.

It was heart warming to watch the younger and older people playing Ping and Kurling together, laughing and having fun. The Archery seemed to be extremely popular, with time being squeezed to ensure that everyone could have a go. It was clear to see that some really took to the sport, you could say like a duck to water!

We'd say that this years 'Filwood Gets Fit' was a huge success. So thank you to the Park Centre for allowing LinkAge to get involved and we cannot wait to support next years event.
