for Redcliffe Care
part of the outreach of St Mary Redcliffe Church
Part time, 22 ½ hours per week

Fixed term contract for 12 months
Are you looking for a job where you can give something back to the community?
Do you want to make a difference to people 55+ in Redcliffe?
LinkAge works with people 55+ and local communities to facilitate inspiring social activities that enrich lives, reduce isolation and loneliness, and promote active participation. Redcliffe Care, part of the outreach of St Mary Redcliffe Church, is working in partnership with LinkAge to start a LinkAge ‘hub’ in the area. There is some work already happening and we expect to build that into a dynamic, local project.
We are looking for a person with good community work experience and excellent communication skills, with the energy and commitment to develop a hub in Redcliffe. This part time post, based with the church staff team of 12 full and part time staff, will involve getting to know and understand local people 55+, working with individuals and groups to stimulate and support new activities and events. Looking into the future, this role will also include developing activities for people 55+ and young people sharing skills and breaking down barriers between the generations.
The successful applicant will be able to build positive, empowering relationships with all sectors of the community, especially hard-to-reach groups, and be able to manage projects and events. We need a practical, hands-on self-starter who is organised, confident and caring.
As this project is part of the outreach of St Mary Redcliffe, the successful application will also be sympathetic to the Christian faith and willing to support the vision and values of St Mary Redcliffe church.
