The Celebrating Age Festival is an annual event run for and by older people and takes place over two weeks with a full programme of events and activities citywide. In 2015 we celebrate with the theme ‘Green Bristol Celebrating Age’. The organising committee would like to offer local groups and organisations small amounts of funding to organise exciting and interactive activities for older people in their areas between Monday 28th September and Sunday 11th October.

Bristol Charities and LinkAge are thrilled to announce the launch of a new partnership to encourage older people living in Henbury to get out of the house, meet new people, have fun and get involved in local activities.

The Cooking with Friends recipe for success: a tablespoon of team work, a cup of friends, a sprinkle of fun and a reminder that there are no expectations. Hear first hand from volunteer tutor, Jacques Hann and participants Ray and Ruth their thoughts on their local Cooking with Friends group.

Redcliffe hub is swinging into action this month with a host of new activities, from Tai Chi to walking and Zumba to Art there are a variety of new groups launching in the local area.

Shirehampton Methodist Church was bursting with laughter, fun and harmonies on Thursday 19th March at our first Singing Taster session. The morning was thoroughly enjoyed by those who attended and many expressed the benefits that they felt from attending just the one session.
