Sammy’s Pop Up Club threw its first Christmas party this month, and what a festive success it was.
What a month of Christmas related fun and cheer it’s been in South Bristol. From the annual Tinsel and Mince Pie walk to the Happy Notes Choir’s Carol Concert, it really has been a spectacular month for all LinkAge participants.
The Shirehampton Hub enjoyed a cracking Christmas Party on Wednesday 16th December.
On Tuesday 15th December, the Whitehall and St George hub hosted a Christmas lunch at the Beehive Centre for 63 local older people.
On Monday 7th and 14th December, The Colston Yard Pub and Restaurant held two Christmas lunches for 100 LinkAge participants.

LinkAge are excited to be taking part in another year of Treefest, a festival organised by St Mary Redcliffe Church. Treefest gives businesses, schools, communities and other organisations like LinkAge the opportunity to decorate and design a Christmas tree.

LinkAge’s Movers and Shakers Walking Group visited The Mayors House on Wednesday 2nd December for some Christmas festivities!
On Saturday 28th November, The Henbury Centre held its first ever Christmas Fayre with over 100 people attending. Stallholders could be seen selling beautiful homemade crafts and stocking fillers, Frozens Elsa was busy face painting, Father Christmas and Mr Snowman had their very own grotto and LinkAge volunteers ran a refreshments and bric-a-brac stall.
On Tuesday 1st December, LinkAge were asked to join the international debate on loneliness by Al Jezeera TVs, The Stream. Bob Harris, LinkAge Advisory Group member, walk leader, volunteer and participant was one of four cyber guests on the show.
