Thursday 19th February saw the official launch of our Bristol Together Advisory group which took place at the offices of the Princes Trust and what a productive first session it was. The group made up of young people, older people and some professionals discussed in small groups how they would like to shape this year’s Summer of Age project by looking at activities, evaluation, marketing and a celebration event to showcase the summer. Lots of suggestions of exciting activities like Bush Craft, High ropes and History walks came from the group and some creative ways to evaluate the programme including memory trees and videos. The group were extremely excited to champion the programme and support what is sure to be an eventful summer.
Bristol Together is a great opportunity to get involved with meeting new people, have your say and play an active role in creating a varied programme of events for your community and throughout Bristol. So if you are aged 15 – 25, 55+ or a professional interested in supporting our intergenerational work then please contact Ricky Bush on 07807 706 310.
The next Bristol Together meeting will be taking place on Thursday 9th April from 1 – 3pm at Canningford House, Victoria Street, BS1 6BY.
